Aspirin WARNING:
When giving a dog
aspirin always check the dogs stool. Look for black
stools which can indicate occult bleeding, and then
discontinue aspirin immediately (use a buffered aspirin
instead). The coated aspirins are said to not be readily
digestible by canines, and are often passed through
with little but the coating having been digested.
What to Put it All
In?
You can use a
diaper bag. The compartments are wide and shallow; there
are small zippered compartments on the side for
scissors, bandages, Q-tips, etc; and bottle compartments
on either end for most commonly needed bottles. You can
also use a tackle box that has lots of compartments ..
would be sturdier than a diaper bag.
Note
Keep in mind to NOT
wash out a wound that needs stitches with anything more
harsh than distilled water. If you can't sew or staple,
have a vet do the job. You'll make the job easier, and
the healing faster for your vet and the hound if you
don't burn the tissue that will be stitched over with
alcohol or peroxide. |
